How I Go
Ink, collage, motor, MDF
6' l x 2' h x 3" d
2012

Installed at Re:View Contemporary (Detroit, MI)

How I Go was created by using the physicality of the gear. Black india ink was dropped from above as the gears spun, creating lines, patterns, and space. Once the ink dried, the gears were stopped and collage elements, drawing, and vinyl were added in response to the composition of spaces and lines.
