Harvesting Garlic Mustard
Harvesting Garlic Mustard
2014

I partnered with Picnic Club Detroit to help harvest Garlic Mustard in Rouge Park in Northwest Detroit. Garlic Mustard is a culinary herb that is native to Eurasia and parts of Africa. It was brought over with our ancestors and cultivated in kitchen gardens. It is a tenacious invasive plant, taking over the undergrowth in our midwestern forests where ferns and other native plants once grew.
