This work is a study of blue, of water, and of the papermaking process – a medium that begins as liquid and ephemeral and becomes something solid. I am pondering our liquid landscapes that surround us, both on the ground and in the sky, that are inherently connected and how our human activities affect them. Just as my art practice is connected with the earth, made of plants, water and pigment, we are all part of this blue watery ecosystem both physically and psychologically.
